Lip smacking TLC!

Its the 8th of March today and I can still feel a nip in the air. Though warmer over the past few days, the chill has now returned (This Dubai weather I tell you!) & I earnestly hope it's here to stay.  I love the winters <3.But, my skin which is highly sensitive to dust, pollution, heat, cold & unhealthy make up, doesn't think likewise.
It's sad actually, but the rhythm of my life has been so hectic over the past few days or should I say months, that I just haven't been providing my skin with any TLC. I wake up each morning promising my skin that I will be good to it. But alas! The humdrum of the day sucks every drop of energy out of me & I do not deny the fact that I can get pretty lazy at times . Regular rounds to the parlour are not my thing & being highly sensitive, my skin prefers natural, light products & my pockets prefer not such expensive products :P. So last night I got down to business  & treated my self to some yummyliscious home made 'chocolate lip balm', the recipe for which I got from http://www.ehow.com/how_2252027_make-cocoa-lip-balm.html. Its easy, fun to make, natural, healthy & tastes great!
So here we go with how I went about making my lip balm.

You will need:
Vaseline (Pure Petroleum Jelly)
Coco powder (I used Hershey's, you can use any one that is available)
Vitamin E oil
Jojoba oil
A microwave or a double boiler
A tiny glass bowl (to heat your mix in)
A tiny empty cannister (an old small jam bottle would also do)

Process:
If you decide to use the gas, heat some water in a deep dish, and put a smaller utensil on the water, add the Vaseline, stir till it had melted, add in 4-5drops of Vitamin E oil & Jojoba oil respectively, stir well. Now add in the coco powder (the more you add, the darker your lip balm turns). Stir well, so that all the clumps from the coco powder are released. Keep aside to cool a little.Once it is warm enough to handle, pour it into the final container of your choice.
If you decide to use the microwave, Melt Vaseline in the glass bowl, for 3-4 minutes, take out the bowl, stir the Vaseline, add 4-5 drops of Vitamin E oil & Jojoba oil respectively, add in the coco powder. Stir well so that no clumps remain. Microwave the mixture for another 3-5 minutes. Cool and then transfer into the final container.
And VOILA! your delicious lip balm is all ready!
These lip balms make great personalized gifts as well. Easy to make, kind to your skin, certainly doesn't burn a hole in your pockets & makes your lips soft and tasty  A real treat!
